Currency conversion on prizes and deposits

Updated Jun 26, 20262 min read

When a prize is paid in a currency different to your account, we convert at the ECB reference rate plus a small, visible spread. The rate is shown before the money is credited.

Prizes in foreign currency

If you win a prize denominated in a currency that isn't your account currency, for example a US Powerball jackpot when your account is in EUR or GBP, we convert it at the European Central Bank reference rate for the day, plus a transparent spread shown on the receipt.

Deposits in foreign currency

Your Lottofy balance is held in a single currency, chosen on first deposit. If you deposit in a different currency, your bank or wallet typically applies their own conversion fee, which Lottofy cannot control. We always show the final amount credited before you confirm.

No hidden margin

Lottofy doesn't take a margin on conversions beyond the visible spread. The same rate is used whether the conversion is on a deposit, a prize or a withdrawal.
