Hunches worth millions: A man buys 20 lottery tickets and wins the prize on all of them.
Is there really such a thing as a hunch when playing the lottery? This US player won $100,000 for following his intuition.

The first thing that Fekru Hirpo, a resident of the city of Alexandria in the state of Virginia in the United States, admitted is that he does not consider himself a regular lottery player. However, this man became the lucky winner of not one, but 20 prizes in the Pick 4 lottery, a popular lottery game in the US where players must pick 4 numbers between 0 and 9, and match them in the correct order in which they are drawn.
But if Hirpo is not a regular player, how could he have been so lucky? He says it was a hunch: the day before the draw, for some reason something told him that he had a very good chance of winning it by playing the 4 numbers that had got into his head: 2, 5, 2 and 7.
So, he decided to go on an impulse to a Shell gas station to buy 20 lottery tickets. But instead of choosing different numbers to increase the odds of winning, as is customary among lottery players, Hirpo, trusting his hunch, bought all 20 tickets with exactly the same sequence of numbers.
And how fortunate that he did. In general, most lotteries around the world allow the same or several players to place simultaneous bets with the same number combinations. However, most of these lotteries, such as Powerball or Mega Millions to cite the example of other of the most famous lotteries in the USA, in the event that there is more than one winning ticket with the same combination of numbers, what they do is to distribute the first prize or jackpot among all the winning tickets.
However, there are some exceptions in smaller lotteries such as Pick 4 where all the tickets that have the winning combination of numbers, take the first prize. Therefore, in this case, having bought 20 tickets with the winning number, Hirpo won the first prize of $5,000 20 times, so in total he won about $100,000 in prizes.
Do lottery hunches really exist?
It is difficult to say, and undoubtedly the answer will depend on the experiences of each one of us. There are many players who have been playing the same combination of numbers for years and have never won the coveted prize.
However, there are also many anecdotes of lottery winners who, following a hunch, have achieved incredible victories.
In fact, a few years ago in 2019, another woman named Deborah Brown also won 30 times the same lottery as Hirpo, the one named Pick 4, because of a hunch that made the numbers that would later win the draw "follow her" all day long.
There is also the famous case of Cynthia Stafford, a single mother who had taken care of her deceased brother's children, who after starting to dream of the number "112 million dollars", began to play the Mega Millions lottery for 3 years without interruption, until finally the hunch was reciprocated, and in the Mother's Day drawing she won exactly the number she had been dreaming of: 112 million dollars.
Like these, there are several other cases of winners who have followed their hunches to victory. However, what in some cases may end in success, does not have to be the same for others. The best thing to do is to always play responsibly and, above all, for fun.
