Accepted documents and how to send them

Updated Jun 26, 20262 min read

Passport, national ID or driving licence for identity; a recent utility bill or bank statement for address. Photos must be sharp, in colour and complete.

Identity documents

  • Passport (any country we serve).
  • Government-issued national identity card.
  • Driving licence, where it counts as proof of identity in your country.

The document must be current, not expired, and the name on it must match the name on your Lottofy account.

Proof of address

When proof of address is needed, the document must be under 3 months old and show your full name and current address:

  • Utility bill, electricity, gas, water, broadband or landline.
  • Bank or credit-card statement.
  • Council tax bill or local-authority correspondence.
  • Tenancy agreement signed by both parties.

How to take a good photo

  • Place the document on a flat surface in good natural light.
  • Capture all four corners, nothing cropped.
  • Make sure text is sharp and the photo is in focus.
  • Send the original colour photo. Black-and-white scans and screenshots usually fail.

Never edit, retouch or annotate the document. Any tampering, even cosmetic, will cause the upload to be rejected and may trigger a manual review.
