Changes in Mega-Sena drawings due to the Proclamation of the Republic Holiday

This week Brazil is celebrating a national holiday on Wednesday, November 15 for the Proclamation of the Republic, a date that commemorates the establishment of the Brazilian Republic in the country since 1889. And, as players accustomed to participating in Brazilian draws will already know, a national holiday always implies some extraordinary changes in the draw calendar.

This holiday, being celebrated on a Wednesday, will directly affect all the draws that are usually held on that day, such as Super Sete, Loteria Federal, Lotofácil, Lotomania, Quina, +Millonaria and Dupla Sena. All these draws will have to cancel or postpone their Wednesday contests since, as is tradition in Brazil, no lottery draws are held on days that coincide with national holidays.

But the suspension of Wednesday's lottery activity will also imply indirect changes in the rest of the draws, as is the case of Mega-Sena. In this sense, although Mega-Sena draws are held 3 times a week on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays (without coinciding with Wednesdays), this week the draw on Thursday, November 16 will also be suspended.

Many players have been surprised with the suspension of the Thursday draw as it does not coincide with the date of the national holiday. However, the justification for this decision is explained because, given that the day before (November 15) there will be no activity in lottery sales establishments, the time to buy and stamp bets for the 16th will be very reduced, so directly the lottery authorities have decided to suspend also the Mega-Sena draw on the 16th.

Thus, during the week of November 13 the first Mega-Sena draw No. 2656 will be held on November 14, 11/14 (Tuesday), while the next draw No. 2657 will be resumed on 11/18 (Saturday).

Only 2 drawings will be held instead of the usual 3, so after the Monday 13 drawing (471) the Wednesday 15 drawing will be suspended, resuming the next drawing on Friday 17 (472).

Loteria Federal

The Wednesday 15 draw (05817-3) will be rescheduled to Thursday, November 16.

Lotofácil

There will be only 5 drawings instead of the usual 6, so after the Tuesday 14 drawing (2954) the Wednesday 15 drawing will be suspended, resuming the next drawing on Thursday 16 (2955).

Lotomania

The Wednesday 15 (2547) drawing will be rescheduled to Thursday, November 16.

Quina

There will only be 5 drawings instead of the usual 6, so after the drawing on Tuesday 14 (6291) the drawing on Wednesday 15 will be suspended, resuming the next drawing on Thursday 16 (6292).

Dupla Sena

Only 2 drawings will be made instead of the usual 3, so after the drawing on Monday 13 (2593) the drawing on Wednesday 15 will be suspended, resuming the next drawing on Friday 17 (2594).

Timemania

There will be no alterations in the Timemania contests during the week.

Dia de Sorte

There will be no alterations in the Dia de Sorte contests during the week.

Mega-Sena

There will be only 2 drawings instead of the usual 3, so after the drawing on Tuesday 14 (2656) the drawing on Thursday 16 will be suspended, resuming the next drawing on Saturday 18 (2657).

+Millionaire

The drawing of Wednesday 15 (95) will be rescheduled to Thursday, November 16.
