Starting this week, Mega-Sena announces the addition of a third weekly drawing, which will mean changes in the scheduled drawing calendar. Thus, the Wednesday drawing will be cancelled and the dates will be changed to Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays, starting at 8:00 p.m., maintaining the usual schedule. In other words, starting August 22, the Mega-Sena drawings will take place weekly, on Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday evenings.
Will the Mega-Sena rules and prizes change?
Loterías Caixa has not made any changes, apart from the new draw dates. This means that there will be no changes in the rules or in the way prizes are distributed. By adding a third draw, players will have one more chance to try their luck and the possibility to accumulate the jackpot more quickly.
What will happen to the Mega-Sena Mega Theme Weeks?

When will the third Mega-Sena draw begin?
The change of dates for the Mega-Sena drawings will be implemented starting this week. The first fixed Tuesday draw will be held on August 22, and the now defunct Wednesday draw will no longer be held this week. Therefore, the second draw of the week will be held on Thursday, August 24, followed by the Saturday draw.
