The Italian lottery is in celebration: this week one of its record jackpots is played in the Superenalotto lottery, which accumulates a jackpot of € 307,800,000 for whoever hits the wining numbers.

The next draw, to be held this Tuesday 15, can leave a new millionaire or continue to accumulate for the next draws on Thursday or Saturday.

The last record Superenalotto jackpot was won in 2019, with a value of €209.1 million, so this Tuesday's jackpot exceeds it by almost €100 million.

The good news, is that not only Italian players can participate in the draw, but through Lottofy players from all over the world can buy their tickets and hope to be the next winners. If you are new to playing Superenalotto, we recommend you to save a few minutes of your time and read this guide to get the most out of your bets.

How to play Superenalotto?

Superenalotto is one of the easiest lotteries to play, since it simply consists of selecting 6 numbers from 1 to 90 to complete a bet. On the day of the draw, if your 6 numbers match the numbers drawn at random, you will win the jackpot or first prize.

When placing your bet, you can choose to do it in two ways, depending on the amount of bets you want to buy and your budget:

  • Single bets: In this case, you will have to complete from 1 to 5 bets per ticket. Each ticket allows you to place up to 5 bets at the same time: you can place all 5 bets, only 1, or as many as you want. In each bet, you must select the 6 numbers of your combinations.
  • Multiple bets: This type of bets are designed for those players who want to play several bets at the same time, participating with more than 6 numbers per bet. In this case, in the same bet you can select from 7 to 14 numbers. The more numbers you select, the more combinations you will participate with, so your chances of winning will be higher.

What is the Superenalotto Jolly number?

On the day of the draw, once the 6 balls of the first prize winning numbers are drawn, an additional seventh ball is drawn from the remaining 84 numbers in the draw. This number is called the Jolly number, and it is considered an additional chance to win, since players who match 5 numbers plus the Jolly number can win the second prize of the lottery.

What are the Superenalotto prizes?

In total, Superenalotto has 6 prize categories. Each prize is defined according to a percentage of the prize pool, so they can vary in each draw according to the total amount of the prize pool.

In the following table, we show you a summary of the numbers needed to match each category, the amount of the prizes of the highest draw, the percentage of the prize pool and the odds of winning:

When are the Superenalotto draws?

Superenalotto holds 3 weekly draws: every Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday at 8 pm (Rome time). You can participate in each draw individually, or play in all of them with a weekly subscription.

Other strategies to win Superenalotto

If you want to increase your chances of winning the Superenalotto jackpot without having to spend a big budget, we recommend you to participate in the Superenalotto groups and funds, which will allow you to increase your chances of winning by playing together with other participants:

  • Superenalotto Syndicate: In the Superenalotto Syndicate you participate in the draw with several players at the same time. Each player who joins the group buys one or more participations. Once all the participations of the group have been bought, several bets are bought, so that, with one participation, you can play the draw with hundreds or thousands of bets. If one or more of these bets win any of the prizes, these are distributed among all the participants of the group, according to the amount of participations that each one has contributed.
  • Superenalotto Fund: In the Superenalotto Fund, players share 50% of the prizes of their bets with the rest of the players in the group. In this way, if one or more of the shared bets in the fund wins a prize, 50% of these prizes are shared among all the players in the fund.
