Whether you are a loyal Euromillions player, or you are just starting to participate in the famous European lottery, you cannot miss this date: next Friday, February 3, 2023, Euromillions has announced a new drawing of the Rain of Millions, which will accompany the jackpot draw for the same date.

But, what is the Rain of Millions, how can I participate, what prizes can I win? We explain it all in today's post.

What is the Euromillions Rain of Millions?

The Rain of Millions is an extraordinary draw held occasionally by the Euromillions lottery together with the jackpot draw for that day. The particularity of the draws with the Rain of Millions is that, in addition to the possibility of winning the prize at stake, players who participate in that day's draw also have the chance to win one of the 1 million euro prizes that are distributed that day.

In total, 100 extra prizes of 1 million euros each are distributed among all players who have placed a bet for that draw.

How are the winners determined? Unlike the main prize draw, the Rain of Millions prizes are drawn raffle-style. Each ticket that participates in this drawing will have an alphanumeric code associated with it, which is the one that participates in the Rain of Millions. This code is generated randomly when the ticket is purchased, so it is not possible to choose it. On the day of the drawing, the 100 prizes are randomly distributed among all the available codes.

How can I participate in the Rain of Millions?

To participate, it is not necessary to do anything more than what you would do to participate in any other EuroMillions draw: buy your ticket for the day of the draw. As indicated above, each ticket comes with an associated and automatically generated code, which is the one that participates in the Rain of Millions draw.

Can I win more than one prize at a time?

In the Rain of Millions draw, you will participate in both prizes at the same time. This means that you can win both one of the EuroMillions and one of the Rain of Millions prizes at the same time. In fact, although the odds are very low, you can win more than one prize of the Rain of Millions at the same time, since you will participate in the draw with all the tickets you buy: if you have bought more than one winning ticket of one of the 1 million prizes, you will be entitled to both.

When will the draw take place?

The Rain of Millions draw is scheduled alongside the Euromillions draw on Friday, February 3, 2023, at 21:00 (Paris time).
